So, as the crowning achievement of your journey you'll now venture into the unexplored depths of the Anemos Sanctum! The Anemos were once a civilisation living near Contigo until they were, according to the legend, floating up to the sky, leaving a giant crater behind... Well. Teleport to Contigo, as you'll find the entrance to the Sanctum there!
Keep going east once you're in Contigo's center. Then you'll stumbe across a sanctum which some people are currently busy examing here. Unfotunately the center entrance is blocked.... But the sign talks about "searching with your heart"! Of course it means your Reveal by that, with it you're able to see the open entrance! Enter the Sanctum and follow the path to the next room. There you'll find a chest with a Dragon Skin inside. Dead end here, unluckily... Which means that the true entrance is somewhere else! Exit the entrance again.
Maybe you've already noticed the big circle of stones near the houses in Contigo. Well, just as expected you can teleport on it! And what a coincidence it is, you'll instantly be in the midst of the Sanctum. In this room here you can reach four areas, each aligned with an element. They all contain eighteen little holes in the ground, and once you step onto the symbol the djinn of that very element will fill these gaps! If you have all 72 djinn with you, then all four lights will shine atop the door – and it will open. If you don't have them all you'll unfortunately have to look for them first! But otherwise... step in!
Jump over the tiles and go up a few steps in front of you – you'll see a stone tablet and a voice will speak to you! You'll be granted the summon of darkness, the calling of Charon, ferryman of the river Styx... Thus touch the stone tablet and learn the mightiest of the earthen summons! So that was the prize for finding all of the djinn. But there's a lot left to explore in this sanctum, actually you're still at the beginning! Proceed...
...and go downstairs in the next room. Let's venture deeper into this sanctum!
Right at the beginning you'll have two different paths you can go, but only the west one of them will get you further! Turn left in the next room and jump over the pit, the next section's right ahead.
The puzzle that's following is all too typical for this Sanctum in its structure, you'll find many more like it later! The goal is to get a stone block that follows you with each step, mirrored of course, onto a switch at the end – sounds easy, but there are pits everywhere! Still this first puzzle is relatively simple. Just keep an eye on the block so that is doesn't fall down the pits and you should bring it safely onto the switch. The door will open, just go on! In the following area follow the way and lock the stone pillar at the end in. Afterwards enter the next section.
Here don't run further north anymore, but keep going right. The following room contains an elevator, though you'll have to activate it first! Run over seven puddles, so that they light up, and the elevator will be ready. Let it take you higher!
Outside of the small room keep going west and lock the stone pillar in front of you in. After that follow the room westwards (i. e. not down the stairs, but the path next to it!) and get to the next section. Go down the stairs right next to you. Follow the path in the next room and go down the stairs to which you'll come. Go to the chest and take a piece of dark matter out of it! Go back thereafter.
Now follow the path here and take the eastern door. What follows is a puzzle of quite a different kind! Here too you'll have to go over all of the puddles or spots (whatever they may be), but the fragile tiles here prevent you from walking over a tile multiple times! So you'll have to find the right way to go, which shouldn't take too long with a bit of zig-zagging. Once the elevator's activated go up with it!
Once up just follow the way and go downstairs. Thereupon go west and move the stone pillar into the hole. Though, after that go east and go up the stairs next to the one that brought you here.
To the right of the entrance you can see a boulder, lift it up with your powers and follow the way south. The tunnel into which you'll come you can just run though.
And another mirror puzzle. But this time it'll be a little more complicated! Basically you'll first have to place the stone block directly north of the singly green cone. Now go straight back south until you're near the entrance again – the block shouldn't move an inch because of the cone. Now all that's left to do is to navigate the stone block carefully onto the switch, then the door will open! Jump back to the stone pillars in the big room and move the right one of them in one of the holes. Afterwards go all the way back till the boulder. Use your Lift once more and proceed north!
Follow the short path and you'll be right back again! From here you can jump to the stone pillars again, but this time also move the central one of them into the remaining hole!
Now everything will come together! Run the way back, call Lift on the boulder and follow the way south. Turn eastwards and move the remaining stone pillar, so that you can finally jump over to the other side! Move the last stone pillar westwards onto the switch, then – finally – the door in this room will open. Go down the stairs to which you'll get.
Go through the following path. And there we have it, the third mirror puzzle! Quite a toughie, but not impossible for us. Although it won't be easy to present the solution visually and textually, I'll try! Well, firstly position the stone tablet right south of the lone green cone (yellow). Afterwards go north until you're about in line with the center cone on your side. The block shouldn't have followed you thereby (purple). Now position the block right north of the same cone (orange). Then go south until you're once again in line with the center cone. Once again the block shouldn't have followed you (blue). Eventually get the damn block onto the switch through the eastern path, nothing should hinder it anymore now (red)! The door will open, go through it! In the next room go right down the stairs in front of you.
Here go to the chest at the end of the path, inside of it is a piece of Orihalcon! Then go back and take the path to the east.
In front of you there'll now be a field of fragile tiles... Go over them towards the left path and then follow the way there. Run along the northern wall all the way east and then keep going south. Move the stone pullar at the end away from the sandy ground. Then go back and take the junction to the south that lead you back to the fragile tiles. Jump over them to the eastern path now, from there you'll get to the field of sand from before. Use Sand and dig your way to the other end. Move the pillar in order to get to the east wall.
Now just follow the way north and west, move a stone pillar into the hole and you're already out of the room!
Now run to one of the two ladders and climb it down. You'll have to put six stone blocks correctly together so that they result in a picture of a bird. I don't think I'll have to help you with this, as the solution's even already presented to you here... Once all pieces are aligned correctly, climb up again and jump on them. Use the power of Hover to get the tiles floating and be carried away...
And that is to none less than the Dullahan! He (she, it...) is guarding the last of the stone tablets, which inherits he power of the Sun. Find out in the following battle whether you're truly worthy of it!

HP: 16000 Dullahan's one horribly strong enemy, a true demon! He still remains a very tough nut for even the best of players, have fun trying to crack it! Three turns per round are the reason for this, in each one of them the possibility to be literally rolled over with tremendously strong attacks... Be it his sword Formina, the Charon summon, usually ending with the fall of your characters, or also the Djinn Storm, which makes even the strongest warriors only weak wannabes. That doesn't only sound horrible, it is this indeed! Should you decide to manly beat him with the sword, keep in mind that very, very strong characters will be necessary to achieve this! But on the other hand there won't be any bigger strategy besides striking him, healing yourself and hoping that he won't use his Djinn Storm. But there is also some (relatively speaking) very safe method to defeat Dzllahahan, and that's the use of summons. For this put all of your Djinn on standby first before entering the fight, with the exception of the protecting djinn "Shade", "Granite" and "Flash". Go into the battle and call up your strongest summons, such as Charon, Catastrophe and Daedalus. At the same time use the djinn that protect you. Once you've summoned all of your djinn continue fighting and let Dullahan defeat your first row. The second group will appear and continue the summoning, just like the first one! This shouldn't be too good for Dullahan's health and he should fall quickly. You'll then receive 15600 experience, 6775 coins as well as an aspirin, you'll truly deserve it. |
Congratulations for your victory! I'm sure it wasn't exactly a piece of cake. Touch the stone tablet in front of you and acquire its wisdoms. Eventually you'll be able to summon Iris, the goddess of rainbows! Her fiery might is the strongest summon in the game, additionally she can revive characters who've fallen in battle! Now if that isn't worth your deeds. But now continue training inside the sanctum or use Retreat, which will get you out of this place in no time.
So this one was the last of the secret areas, and what a place it was! A trip through hell even would be a nice description of it. Now I fear that I can't show you anything new in the game anymore – we've come to the end of this walkthrough! Keep exploring and training in the fascinating world of Golden Sun, because it still offers many surprises to you! I at least want to say goodbye hereby and I hope to have given everyone who's read it good help and advice with this walkthrough, even if it was just for a good read! Merry gaming.
End.
