Actually the next location shouldn't be anything new to you if you've solved the animal quest already – if not, just take a look at Chapter 28 then! It's the Islet Cave, located at the Islet in the Sea of Time. You can get to it from Alhafra, Izumo or Apoji by your ship.
Go to the turtle, read his mind and let him carry you to the cave. Enter it and proceed until you come to the teleporter circle. Naturally you can get to the other side of the underground lake by teleporting now! Then go northwards.
The now following path will be utterly complicated. Just run though this first section. Beware of the immensely strong enemies!
In the second section you'll come to a statue on the left wall. It appears to be moving...! Create a Tremor and watch it being thoroughly shaken. A Mercury Djinni will jump out of it, go to it and give it a good beating. Once 'Serac' is defeated it'll follow you on your journey, probably as the last djinni of it! Congratulations for that! After that go north to the next section.
Everything looks the same here... Just run through the following three rooms here, you won't find anything interesting (other than many, many monsters). And it's ever getting darker. Wow!
A room illuminated by candlelight follows... But it's all but romantic here! Save your game and follow the path. A huge creature clad in armor, the guardian of wind, will face you. And you guessed it, it's certainly not going to hold hands with you.

HP: 8736 Probably the most outstanding power of the Sentinel is, besides his very good recovering abilities and the three attacking turns, the immunity against any kind of psnergy. This alone limits your stratetig possibilities a little, but at least it also makes the battle a little less complicated! Basically just beat him up with your weapons without thinking too much about strategy. He's able to boost his stats, but don't use 'Break' on him then, as he's immune against it, remember? Sentinel attacks with psynergy a lot, instead it makes much sense to use psynergies like 'Resist' or djinn like "Breeze" and "Luff". Feel free to set some of Cama's or Ivan's Jupiter djinn free and call some strong summons to the fight afterwards! Altenatively cast 'Impact' on your warriors to make them strike more severely in case you already have some good characters in your team. But in whatever way you're approaching this – if you weren't too inattentive Sentinel should be down quickly! You'll receive 10538 experience points plus 6144 coins. |
Once you've defeated the guardian nothing will stop you from reaching the stone tablet anymore! Read its inscriptions and learn the summoning of Catastrophe, the strongest wind-based summon of all! You'll smash almost anything with it... Now continue training a bit in this cave! Though, if you're not interested in that now just use Retreat and leave the cave along with the islet.
Quite a short ride this one was! Only one area left for us, take a quick break, but then we'll take a look at that one, too!
