From Daila it's only a little bit south until you reach the other side of the mountains near the Kandorean Temple. Now run eastwards and follow the given path. After a good while of wandering you'll eventually reach your goal, which is the Dehkan Plateau.
Right away you'll see a few stairs in front of you, go them up. A major part of the plateau consists of brittle spots in the ground, let yourselves fall down through oine of them. In the underground room in which you're now take then the southern exit. Here you'll soon stumble over a chest with a Full Metal Vest in it! It's probably best to give this utterly strong armour to Sheba, go back after you've done so. Now take the stairs right of you in the chamber, it'll bring you back to the surface. Eastwards the way continues.
In the following section you'll for the first time see another characteristical feature of this plateau, namely the many soft, brittle pillars. One time they'll stand your weight, but after jumpin on them a secong time they'll crumble! You can test that out right away on such a pillar north of you, jump over it towards a chest in which you'll find an Elixir inside. Jump back, you'll fall down! Climb bck and use the two other ones here to come to a cliff in the east. From here on simply follow the way further until you come to a big brittle field. Jumo towards the other end to reach the next section. But halt!
If you let yourselves fall down at the centre-northernmost spot of the field (left at the end!) you'll fall down to another chest located underground. Inside it you can find a Mint. Now run to the cave exit. Move the stone pillar and you're already in the area from earlier again! Now you can finally go further in northern direction, to the next area.
That one will surely look quite confusing at first sight! Jump onto the first hill, then to the one northwest of it. Afterwards jump twice onto the pillar blocking the way to the chest to make it crumble. Inside the chest there's Themis' Axe, a strong weapon! Now though you'll have to exit the area again and enter it once more to have the pillars there again. Now just continue jumping westwards here... Then you'll come to the other side. From there on the way's pretty straightforward, jump to the northern end and head further into the next section.
Now run further here until you come to another brittle field. Let yourselves fall down somewhere here and follow the tunnel into which you'll come. Back to daylight again you should be able to see a Mars Djinni only a little bit further north. Which will promptly decide to flee from you – and thereby fall down one of the holes in its haste...
Let's hurry after it! Fall down as well and run through the following cave. After coming out again you'll already have the djinni in your view again. Climb up the vine in the south and head towards the djinni. Once more it'll notice you and flee, but you'll keep up with it! Move another pillar into the pit for later shortcutting before going further.
In front of you there'll now be a bridge with the djinni standing on it. Chase it! It'll continue fleeing from you, even magically pound a pillar along the way, until you've finally scared it into the next area. Now go back to the start of the bridge and go south from there. Then balance over the two ropes.
Two pillars clad by vines should be in front of you now. Move one of them to the wall near the chest and climb it up. Jump to the rope, which you'll then tighten with Lash. Climb up to the chest and take a Nut out of it. Afterwards climb back and move the other scrubby pillar into the valley. Climb through it down to the lower level. Head through the valley then and climb up the vine at the end. Eastwards the plateau continues.
You'll immediately find yoursleves near the djinni again. That one will right then do a downright long-distance run until it'll finally, who would've thought it, fall down a hole again. Quite unfortunately it'll have damaged a few pillars on its little tour, which means you won't be able to take these anymore! Climb down the vine and move the scrubby pillar. Climb it up, jump on the two pillars and back again, this should cause the first one to crumble and you to fall down.
Now run around the one higher level north of you and move the vine-clad pillar next to the remaining, already britte clay pillar. Climb up and jump again onto it, this should make it crumble as well. Now you can climb up to the higher level and from there on move the stone pillar. With its help you'll be able to eventually reach the cave at the end. Better get slowly used to the complex puzzles of this game...
Inside the cave the first room can simply be run through. Immediately you'll be in the room in which also the djinni's hiding. But don't try now to reach it, as it'll simply make you fall down with its powers. Instead go to a further passage in the room's southeast. Only one tunnel further and you're already outside of the cave again.
Run right away in western direction here until you see two britte spots in the ground. Take the eastern on of them, you'll then fall down straight onto the djinni! Of course it'll quickly pop off again, but during its collision with you it'll have lost its special power! Take it, it's the Pound Cube with which you can use the Pound psynergy.
Now go down the stairs in the northeast, the next room you'll simply go through. Now you'll be right at the djinni again! But don't go closer to it rashly now, as it'll then flee to a safe area. Instead go down and smash the clay pillar next to it with your new Pound! Thus it'll be cut off of its escape route. Now confront it again, have a nice battle and give Mars Djinni "Cannon" a hearty welcome! After all it should be your first one of the fiery element. In the southeast you'll find the room's exit.
From here on it's not that far anymore until the true exit of the cave. Run through the current passage. In the next room the stairs leading you up will be right next to you. If you wanted to go back you could even take a shortcut here now with the Pound psynergy. But that shouldn't matter now! You'll now come back to the surface again.
Just run further here and you'll come to a few stairs, which you should go down now. In the far west you'll also be able to move pillar so that you can do a bit of shortcutting in the plateau te next time you'll be here. Otherwise it's only down one more stairs and southwards – the end of Dehkan Plateau is reached!
You'll have to master such difficult to pass places like the Dehkan Plateau many a time in the future! But for now be happy to finally be over that one hurdle. It's still quite a way until you come to your next goal, the town of Madra, though! Before you there now lies a ship on the World Map that looks like the one of Saturos and Menardi. The group wonders whether it really be the vessel of those two, but since they wouldn't have the means for steering it anyway they decide without much further thought to leave early.
Now head along the hiking trail in western direction until you come to a cave. Enter it! It's called the Indra Cave, at the end of it you'll come to a mysterious stone tablet. Move the pillar and tighten the rope with the Lash psynergy, then you'll reach the tablet. Through it you'll then learn a summon called Zagan! To summon the higher being you're going to need djinn of more than one element, it's thus one of the game's new combo psynergies. Expect such a cave on each of the continents! But now leave this cave again.
Follow the further footpath a little bit west, afterwards the way will eventually continue southwards. Cross a bridge. From here on take the southern path only until you reach a forest landscape near the coast. Wander around in it and you should eventually face a Venus Djinni in a battle! Convince it of your power and "Iron" will join you!
Head the way back until the crossing now, go over the bridge and further southeastwards. Behind a further small forest area the eminent town of Madra will come into your sight! It'll mean the next stop on your journey now.
Not only will you get some neat equipment for your group in Madra, but also many new experiences you'll make there, so stay tuned!
