Chapter 4: Inside the Shrine of the Sea God

After you've thus visited the Kandorean Temple and gotten the secret power there the journey can be continued now. From Daila on the further way goes eastwards now, so follow the path in this direction. You'll soon come to a red tower as well as a cave... The Shrine of the Sea God. Enter it!

Before the Shrine.

Perhaps you still remember the missing kids from Daila? Apparently they've gone to this place and are now in deep trouble. Tavi has climbed to the other side of the cliffs, but can't get back now. Even Riki's tries to throw him the rope are in vain. Frustrated Riki will retreat to think of a plan.

Another missed throw. Riki is clueless.

Now your opportunity has come to help the two kids! It should be no problem for you to throw Tavi the rope with Lash. Thus run to the rope and try out your new ability. Tavi will happily climb down to you, even though he's rather surprised as to who you actually are. Well, he'll thank you anyway!

In no time with Lash! Tavi thanks you.

But now you'll hear something interesting in Tavi's and Riki's chat. Apparently they tried to catch a "critter", but Tavi assures his friend that he's just too fast to catch. That answer may disappoint Riki a little, but what to do about that on the other hand? The two decide to better hurry back home. Their stomachs are rumbling...

A critter? Apparently it's too fast for them. Let's go home!

Well, why not look for what the children desperately tried to catch yourselves? At the same time you could also explore the paths in this cave. So climb up the rope onto the other side, the path into the depths of the cave won't be too far away!

Let's go exploring...

In the following room walk over the two bridges and go south. There you'll soon come to both a frail bridge and – a Jupiter Djinni! This must be the creature the two kids talked about. Go along the bridge towards it, like expected it'll crumble. Come closer to the djinni from below, but it'll notice you and quickly try to get away! Run after it and go down the stairs at the end of the path.

Over the bridges... ...to the djinni. Going deeper down.

The footprints at the latest have already revealed the little djinni! Follow it and you'll come to an area with three stairs. Take one of the two northern bridges, they'll both lead you to another bridge. Just as you'll be about to cross it you'll see the runaway flee under you! Run back into the previous room.

Up this stairs. It's under the bridge!

Now take the one stairs located in the south here. It'll lead you into the same room, but this time you can walk along the path under the bridge! Soon you'll reach the djinni again, which unfortunately has stayed alert and will flee onto a stone structue.

After the djinni... He'll flee onto the stones.

You can chase it around as you wish... But you too will always be too slow to get it! The answer to the riddle lies in the present torch. Move it into the gap between the two stone lines and the djinni won't be able to flee from you that easily anymore! However, it'll instantly want to let out its anger about that on you! Show it who's boss here and "Breath" will want to join you.

Move the torch. It's ready for a fight! Sheba found Breath!

For the time being that's been all you can do here! In the west you'll come to a few puddles, but you'll only be able to make use of them later. So for now it'd probably be best to use Felix' Retreat to quickly get out of this cave again. Take some time to have a look at Daila again – not only have Tavi and Riki arrived here in the meantime, all the big puddles and flood damages are also gone! But as there's nothing left for you to see here feel free to immediately leave Daila again.

Both are back and safe! Riki's only interested in the food anyway.

So this has been your little trip to the Shrine of the Sea God. But what the further journey will look like, that you'll see in the following chapter!
