Your nemesises might have escaped, but then again you'll still chase them! For now you'll have to deal with other things, though. As you won't be able to advance any further without the people from Kolima you'll have to change them back – and therefore revive Tret. But how?
Having arrived at the bottom of the lighthouse run towards the dry fountain near the entrance. It's not dry anymore, but instead nearly bursts with water now, just like Mia had just mentioned! Furthermore she said that the water has a curing effect on everyone who drinks it. Why not take advantage of that now? To carry a bit of the water with you you'll have to find an empty bottle beforehand. You can find one in the house of the elder couple in Imil, where you've also met Mia the first time. Get it from a chest in the house, if you haven't done so before already out of curiousity. ;-) With it in your inventory now come to the fountain again. Stand before it and face it, then examine the well. "The fountain is flowing with water", as you can see, afterwards your menu will pop up. Now choose the empty bottle and use it, without further ado you'll then have a nice drink containing the healing Hermes Water!
So, to Tret now! Or still not yet? Take a look into the shops in Imil before you do that, it won't hurt? Because of the water the merchants are now fit as a fiddle again and would like to sell you some nice items. Something I'd like to especially highlight here are the fantastic 'Adept's Clothes' here, don't hesitate to buy a few of those!

Once you shopping tour's over you can say farewell to Imil – and now the slightly less interesting part of this chapters starts. What I mean here is going all the way back to the Kolima Forest, where Tret is dying! Run back along the icy regions of the north to the Bilibin Cave, from here on to Bilibin itself to the town's barricades and into the Kolima Forest, to finally come back to the ill tree... What a long march, wasn't it?
Short intermezzo: You'll have surely noticed at the Bilibin Barricades that the enchanted persons aren't standing in a "leg-up" anymore, but are lying scattered along the waterside here. One of them's standing in the water and in danger of being washed away. Go into the shallow water here and moveit back onto the saving shore. The tree will thank you, as you can read in its mind.
Back to Tret, stand in front of him and use the Hermes Water you've gotten from the fountain to revive the tree and fill it with vigor once again. Tret will thank you and nearly overflow with energy. Laural is amazed to see that the forest can now florish anew. After that Tret will keep his promise and save the people of Kolima from the curse cast upon them.
When you've done this he'll tell you that Tret didn't possess this power forever. He only acquired it when "gemstones" were falling from the sky, whereupon our heroes suspect said gems to be really Psynergy Stones. But for now they're just glad that this influence has been overcome and the evil has vanished from the forest. Following this Laurel will use the might he's got. He's looking whether other forests have been enchanted, too. And indeed, south of Kolima another evil forest has sprung up! He advises you to be careful if you intend to visit these territories. Another thank-you from him then and you'll come together again! Leave the forest (for example with Retreat), to Kolima now!
You'll see, the tree's have turned into human beings again! =) Feel free to explore the village as much as you desire and talk to the resident folk. Or have another shopping tour again with all the money you've collected so far! Relax, enjoy the peace and have one more rest before you continue on your difficult quest.

And now we should at least have a little bit of the fame that the rescue's brought with itself. Go back to the Bilibin Barricades. A girl called Jill, who you've saved earlier, will give you a special present as her way of saying thank you – it's a 'Hard Nut'! With it you can permanently boost the defence stat of one of your characters. And by the way, the barricades have been opened again!
Next station for you's the Bilibin Palace! The regent, Lord McCoy, may not have had enough faith in you at first, but still he's absolutely overjoyed about your success, furthermore that you've opened his eyes and reminded him of a regent's duties. He asks you to come into the treasury and pick a chest of your choice.
You can't see the chests' contents, but from left to right they are: a Vial, a Potion, a Psy Crystal and a Water of Life. The latter one is naturally the most valuable item, but the decision's completely up to you. When you've picked something you can leave the palace and Bilibin. Have I already said that the enchanted tree near the village entrance has turned into a human being again? Well, anyway, from Bilibin on you'll now have to head to Kolima again.
From Kolima on now continue your travel eastwards. After a small spiral in the landscape you'll stand in front of a bridge. It's the Kolima Bridge! The guard had once been a tree, too, but now as he's back to his human self again he'll be able to lower the bridge for you!
On the World Map again you just have follow the footpath before you as intended. Watch out, there are stronger monsters here than before! Soon you'll reach a mysterious temple...
Now, what might this temple be all about? What new experiences could one get here? Let's find that out! =)
